  1. I think that your magazine reinforces stereotypes that hip-hop artists have a certain amount of 'swagger'. This is reinforced in the poses of your models, especially those of your cover star and the fashion photo on your contents page. It also reinforces the stereotypes that this style of music is not really listened to by white people.

You have used a particular ethnic group in your magazine - all of your models are either black or Asian.

Your magazine reinforces the stereotype that this genre is a male genre; the only image of a female is that of the editor, subliminally suggesing that all hip-hop artists are male.

Young people are portrayed as successful and talented, with the ability to 'make it' if they really want to.

Hip-hop is is portrayed as an influential music genre, that has a place on lots of media platforms (use of website, Facebook, Twitter on the front cover).

  2. I also think that your magazine represent typical rnb conventions, by using black rnb artists for other interested readers. But you do use a particular ethnic group; black and Asian models. But you have used a mixture of both females and males in your images, but mostly there are less females used. Young people are portrayed in your magazine that young people are successful and have talent, oppositely to how young people are represented in society. Hip hop is portrayed as influential to young people.
